Hey everyone!
We are having a great time here in Nicaragua! It has been such a blessing getting to be a part of all God is doing through Monica and Jaime Arista here at Campo Gonia. They run a men’s discipleship program out of their home, and their generous hearts, love for the Lord, and joyful servanthood are just a few of the things that are so apparent the moment you step into their lives. The week has been packed full of devotionals, praying for people, and getting to know each other. We’ve had bible studies, a mini carnival for kids, and we were able to feed and love on people at the city dump. The men were able to really minster and touch the lives of many young men in the barrio (neighborhood).
Unfortunately I was unable to get our pictures to load for the blog… But in the morning your loved ones will be returning to the states and I am sure they will enjoy sharing the pictures they’ve taken. Also tomorrow when I have more reliable wifi, there will be one last update for this trip!
Today we are spending the day at a beautiful lagoon. Resting and reflecting on all the Lord has done. We pray all is well at home and for safe travels for everyone on their return!
Blessings!
Here I am in Houston on Sunday morning, waiting for my flight to Chicago, then my drive to LaCrosse. Loved my Saturday night aa I slept in my 70 degree Ramada Inn hotel, falling asleep watching a baseball game on TV. As I am relaxing in my airport chair, I am reminiscing pleasantly about my adventure in Nicaragua. Now I know why they call it Adventures in Missions. Because that’s what it was! Never before have I experienced so much accomplished in so little time. This missions trip had it all. Devotions, discipleship, prayer, construction, fellowship, evangelism, ect. You name it, it happened. All in four days! What an awesome testimony to God’s grace and power! Love you guys!
