After spending the first morning walking through Granada’s market and visiting Granada’s central plaza, the 12 Lenawee high schoolers spent the afternoon interacting with young people who live in the community called Torre Forte that is located right behind El Puente. The evening was spent waiting for the new year to arrive.
A Nicaraguan tradition is to make an ‘old man’, fills the ‘old man’ with fireworks and to light the ‘old man’ on fire at midnight on New Years Eve
After doing prayer walking the second morning, the Lenawee team spent the afternoon at the Pantanal property where they interacted with young people who lived in that area.

The high school team from Lenawee was blessed with opportunities to learn about Nicaragua and about what life is like for their hosts as well as opportunities to share their faith, to participate in happenings where testimonies were given and where a gospel message was presented, to play with children in different places and in different settings and to help pass out food at three different sites.
