The Encounter team arrived yesterday in fine form and ready to serve. It's a wonderful team of individuals that have been called from all over the U.S. to make their way to Nicaragua and see what the Lord has in store. After a short nights sleep, we were out of the guest house at 5:40 a.m. to get breakfast and get to the ministry site in Pantanal this morning, We were coming alongside the a local missionary (Bethany) who is organizing the Community Health Outreach programs here to engage the community in a cleanup project as well as doing some sports outreach with the local community. After an afternoon planning session, we went to an awesome, lively Nica church tonight. Rocking worship, good message that they were even kind enough to translate to English!
The team is practicing a skit right now preparing for childrens outreach tomorrow. Lots of laughter and joy is here in the house!
More to come later, but know that God is speaking and His servants are responding.

p.s. On way from the airport we narrowly missed getting caught in the 15 mile parade marking the "strategic retreat" of the Sandinisatas 33 years ago – who knew?
